In the academic year 2023/24, Stanley Ho East Asia College organised a total of 14 mentorship meet-up sessions. Over 250 participants were recorded. Students from different years of study, fellows, affiliates, and academic staff of SHEAC attended the events. They mingled to exchange ideas about their studies, professional growth, personal interests and future plans.
Regularly held at the coffee room and the courtyard in the College, the meetup series embraced a friendly and lively ambience. Indeed, preparation and serving of beverage and refreshment for the event was mainly carried out by the College’s Coffee Club leaders and assistants. This informal occasion, with the continued support of a large number of students and teachers, has enhanced the collegiality of the SHEAC community.
The meetup series forms one of the key components of the SHEAC Mentorship Programme to facilitate communication and rapport between students and fellows/affiliates. Every freshman is paired up with one of the non-resident fellows or affiliates of SHEAC as mentors in the beginning of the academic year. The Mentorship Programme is aimed at helping students explore different ways in and make plans for developing and achieving their personal and professional goals. Both sides are encouraged to have regular informal meetings with each other.
何鴻燊東亞書院2023/24年導師茶聚吸引超過共 250名同學及老師參加
在2023-2024學年，何鴻燊東亞書院舉辦了共14場導師茶聚，錄得超過250參與人次。來自不同年級的書院學生、非常駐導師(Fellows及Affiliates)、書院導師都積極參加了這系列活動，就彼此的學習、職業發展、個人興趣和未來計劃進行了交流。
茶聚定期在書院咖啡室和庭院舉行，氣氛友好而活潑。此外，此系列活動的飲料和茶點的準備及服務主要由書院的咖啡俱樂部領袖和助手們負責。在眾多同學和老師的持續支持下，這些活動增強了師生之間的連結及書院的社群凝聚力。
茶聚系列是“何鴻燊東亞書院導師計劃”的關鍵組成部分之一，旨在促進書院學生和非常駐導師(Fellows及Affiliates)建立融洽的關係，並促進彼此之間的溝通。在新學年開始時，每位本科一年級新生都會與書院的一位非常駐導師(Fellows及Affiliates)配對分別作為學員和導師。導師計劃旨在幫助學生探索不同的方式並製定計劃來發展及實現他們的個人和職涯目標。書院也透過不同方式鼓勵雙方定期進行非正式聚會交流。
