Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) Professor Michael Hui Speaks of Coach-like Leadership Needed in New Era at SHEAC Commencement Dinner

On 18 November 2020, Stanley Ho East Asia College held the Commencement Dinner cum the First High Table Dinner of the academic year of 2020/2021. Professor Michael Hui King Man, Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) of the University of Macau, was invited as the guest of honour.

In his speech, Vice Rector Professor Michael Hui shared his views on leadership. He believed that people’s management philosophy and perception towards the role of leaders would be changed in different eras. He pointed out that the University’s faculties and residential colleges, playing differentiated roles, could respectively help students nurture an array of competencies needed for the 21st century. In the end, Professor Hui expressed his best wishes for freshmen and returning students a great and healthy start of the new academic year after school disruptions caused by the pandemic.

Student Ms. Lau Kak On, Victoria served as the master of ceremonies of the event. During the event, three titles of music were performed by talented students: “Merry Go Round of Life” on piano duet Ms. Lou Lok I, Minnie and Ms. Ng Hoi Lam, Helena, and a medley of “Chasing the Light” and “The Brightest Star in the Night Sky” on guitar and vocals by Mr. Huang Rui, Roy.

澳門大學副校長（學術）許敬文教授向書院同學們淺談新時代所需的教練風格領袖

2020年11月18日，何鴻燊東亞書院舉行了2020-2021學年的首埸高桌晚宴。本次高桌晚宴榮譽主講嘉賓為澳門大學副校長（學術）許敬文教授。

副校長許敬文教授在演講中分享了他對領導力的看法，他相信管理理念和領袖的角色會隨著時代的不同而改變。他指出，大學的學院和書院扮演著不同的角色，可以分別幫助學生培養二十一世紀所需的一系列能力。許教授最後祝願新生和高年級同學們在受疫情影響停課後，在新學年有一個美好、健康的開始。

晚宴上，劉格安同學擔任主持。席間，幾位才華橫溢的同學表演了三首樂曲。勞樂兒同學和吳凱琳同學以鋼琴四手聯彈演奏《人生的旋轉木馬》。黃睿同學以吉他並拼唱了《夜空中最亮的星》和《追光者》。
