The 3rd of September holds special significance as the Day of Remembrance of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, marking a solemn occasion for reflection on history and peace. On Wednesday 3rd of September 2025, Stanley Ho East Asia College, University of Macau, attended a series of activities hosted by the Macao SAR Government to observe the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The college organised 50 students and teachers to join the activities as part of its national education program, designed to strengthen their historical awareness, foster their national pride and patriotism, and deepen their sense of national identity.

In the morning, a total of 26 students and teachers of SHEAC represented to join the live streaming of the 2025 China Victory Day Parade, held at the Sports Complex Pavilion of the University of Macau. This event featured a massive military parade showcased a wide array of China’s latest weapons and advanced military hardware, highlighting the country’s continued progress in defense technology and national strength. This grand meeting also honored the sacrifices of past generations but also emphasised the enduring importance of unity, peace and national rejuvenation. Students watched attentively, with one student commenting, “Watching the parade together helped me realise that history is not just in the past — it shapes who we are today and the responsibilities we bear as Chinese citizens of this generation.”

In the afternoon, another 25 students and teachers from SHEAC visited the special thematic exhibition “For National Liberation and World Peace—Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.” The exhibition was supported by the Memorial Museum of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and held at the China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Cooperation Service Platform Complex. The visit provided students with valuable exposure to historical materials and narratives, enhancing their understanding of the significance of wartime resilience and the safeguarding of peace.

Through the combined outcomes of the parade broadcast and the exhibition visit, SHEAC’s students and teachers not only deepened their historical knowledge but also reflected on the importance of carrying forward the spirit of perseverance and contributing to the advancement of society with responsibility and dedication.

每年九月三日被定為中國人民抗日戰爭勝利紀念日，這是一個反思歷史與和平的莊嚴日子。2025年9月3日星期三，澳門大學何鴻燊東亞書院（以下簡稱“書院”）參與了由澳門特區政府主辦以紀念中國人民抗日戰爭暨世界反法西斯戰爭勝利80周年的系列活動。書院組織了50名師生參與此系列活動，作為其國家教育計劃的一部分，旨在加強師生的歷史認知，培養民族自豪感和愛國主義精神，深化對國家身份的認同感。

上午，何鴻燊東亞書院師生於澳門大學體育綜合館一同觀看2025年中國勝利日閱兵直播。這場盛會舉行了規模宏大的軍事閱兵，展示了中國最新研發的各式武器及先進軍事裝備，充分彰顯國家在國防科技與綜合實力上的持續進步。此次活動同時向歷代先烈的犧牲致敬，並強調團結、和平及民族振興的長遠重要性。同學們專注觀看，其中一名同學感慨：「一起觀看閱兵使我明白，歷史不僅僅屬於過去——它塑造了我們今天的身份，以及我們這代中國公民應肩負的責任。」

下午，一行25位書院師生參觀了《為民族解放與世界和平——紀念中國人民抗日戰爭暨世界反法西斯戰爭勝利80周年》專題展覽。該展覽由中國人民抗日戰爭紀念館支持，並於中國與葡語國家商貿合作服務平台綜合體舉行，為學生提供了寶貴的歷史資料與敘事，增強他們對戰時堅韌精神及維護和平重要性的理解。

通過閱兵直播與展覽參觀的綜合體驗，書院師生不僅深化了對歷史的認識，更反思了傳承堅忍不拔的精神，並以責任與奉獻推動社會進步的重要性。
